Having a great family, your health, friends, and other unconditional things is VASTLY overrated, right??
Health is just as important. Can't enjoy wealth and success without health. So that goes without saying. Health and wealth.
The thing about unconditional things is they can be fickle. Family is important but friends are overrated. They come and go. I have friends for the club, gym, my sports leagues, grabbing a beer etc but when you are a grown man friends aren't that important really. Not as much as wealth. Friends are for teenyboppers.
I maintain my stance. Whoever accumulates the most money and biggest house and nicest car wins. Anybody else is just fooling themselves or lazy hippies. 'Oh I have a great family and a lot of close friends'' Oh I have a lot of life experience or been lucky in my life to do this and that...all bullshit people say to convince themselves or others that they are happy without money.
I grew up poor and now having made it let me tell you that money IS everything. It DOES buy happiness. And for those that have plenty of money and aren't happy they don't deserve to be. Money makes everything easier. Life more exciting. Day to day living more comfortable and luxurious. If money isn't everything, it is mostly everything.
Can't spoil your family or even take care of your health without money these days.
To the OP, it's perfectly normal. I've been there. Get busy working or find a plan and make him eventually envy you. If you want it bad enough you can do it. If you just want to envy him that's up to you. But yes, it is perfectly normal. It shows you have passion for life, ambition and greed and want more out of life. Good for you. Now go out and get it!
Grass sometimes IS greener on the other side believe me. I know. I went to the other side and it's green AF. It's not a mirage.
